1968 D Cent - DDR?

    There looks to be some strange corrosion effect on this cent, but the ONE looks clearly doubled. I'm not sure if corrosion or environmental damage can cause it to double like that. The O looks to be completely separated, so I don't think it's mechanical doubling. This one doesn't appear in the books I'm looking at, could it be unreported?

    Isn't DDD connected to the letters/numbers?

    Or is that just most of the time?

    With all that corrosion it almost looks like it has been dipped in acid.

    this type of doubling is sooo soo common cause as dies wear they start to leave mars and break down.. you can find this type of ddos ddrs alot they often have a flat look..
