    Hi all,

Some help please in identifying this coin (I know nothing about old coins), it's barely legible but someone will probably look at it and know it straight away.

All I can make out is GB (or is it ER?) and a crown on the front. Any ideas on value (assuming it's not a fake)?

Apologies that the front and back don't look the same size, it was badly scanned.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

Thanks daveydempsey! I can now research it more. Doesn't look like it's worth anything much.

That's what I thought. My quick search on eBay didn't find those but another auction at around $10.

I guess VG=Very Good what are F and VF?

Really! That would be classed as VG!? Didn't expect that, thought it was quite bad.

Should old coins be cleaned/polished or left as-is, generally speaking?
