new Trajan Mars with kneeling captive

    I am so happy what a nice coin:happy:

    Trajan AR Denarius.
    Rome, AD 103-104.
    IMP:TRAIANO

    Obv; IMP TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS V P P, bust right /Aegis
    Rev; SPQR OPTIMO PRINCIPI, Mars, in military dress, standing left, head right,
    holding spear and resting shield on kneeling captive to right.

    RIC 159; RSC 376; B 2.69g/Mg, 20mm, 7h. Near Mint State. Extremely Rare. EX Mount Angel Abbey.

    Iff some one had the same post it Thanks , that would be nice. i could'nt find a nother one!!

RIC 158; RSC 376; BMC 161. 3.36g, 19mm, 7h. Near Mint State. Extremely Rare.

    wow, very sweet addition => man, I absolutely love Mars' crusty green kilt!! (he's ripped!! ... and showing very little respect for that captive!!)

    ... oh, and that obverse is great too!! (super new score, congrats!!)

    Nice coin. I'm wondering about that green spot. Is that something that needs to be removed or is it natural? It always makes me a bit nervous when I see that.

    green on silver coin is usually a-okay ...

    => green on bronze coin ... ehhh, not so good, at times!!?

    Oh sure, it could be? ... but "hopefully" that's merely good ol' crusty bits?!

    (PVC damage is "usually" more of a smokey chemical grunge that layers the coin ... this particular green looks like our typical yummy ancient crusty!!)

    Good ol' ancient crusty!! (I actually like a bit of crusty every now and then => often it prevents people from saying that the bronze coins are smoothed)
