whats with the edge of this quarter?

    no damage on the rim and from what I see no direct impact seen--looks 'pinched'--seen before?
    or just another quarter?? best pics I could get--

    looks like a rim indent and the flatness on the wide spread is typical of beginning stage of die deterioration
