What effect is this?

    Are you related to @mrbrooklyn. Who used to post here. Your insight is about on par with his.

    Based on the image provided the metal isn't just displaced. There appears to be a blob of extra metal. If it were displaced from a hit it would look smashed not raised and rounded. Short of someone adding solder to this coin, I think PMD to explain the MM on this coin is a wrong conclusion.
