No SMS Kennedy half dollars were struck at Denver, all were struck in CA.

You can try jewel luster or whatever that white bottle is that is easy for dipping coins. My coin shop over here has it, and it's on ebay. Costs around 10, very easy to use and effective. But just be sure you practice first on less valuable coins. You just dip really quick, rinse in water. The longer you dip, the more trouble you might get into. I don't have much experience with it but I'm sure it would help with that hazy stuff. I think the first one you showed is very nice. I was reading I think halperin's free book online and it talks about how to tell if a coin is cameo or deep cameo. He's the guy who co-founded heritage auctions. Or try googling "how to tell if coin has cameo contrast" and I'm sure you'll find info on seeing reflection on coin and what level of cameo it has

Do not use Jewel Luster on SMS coins. The SMS coins have fragile mirrors and cannot withstand the use of EZest or Jewel Luster or whatever todays dip is called. you will just end up ruining your SMS coins by making the mirrors softer than they already are.

Yea i dont think this sort of hazy toning will come off anyway as i believe its the soap/water rinse the mint uses that causes this.. i wouldnt mind it if it had some blue/green/magenta color

I believe about 60% of the 1967 half dollars were struck in Denver but it's unlikely any SMS were. It's more likely Denver struck some circulation strikes with SMS dies but this is also not likely. All three mints struck circulation strike '65 to '67 half dollars without mint marks and San Francisco probably used retired SMS dies for most. Starting in 1968 until 1971 only Denver issued circulation strike halfs including the mint set coins.

Oh! That is a very pretty '67 in the OP. I agree that the reverse will keep it out of a CAM holder probably but it's definitely a pretty coin and a real keeper.

The haze will often come off in a mixture of 91% isopropyl and acetone. The '65 is especially likely to clean up. It depends a lot on what caused the haze but if it's poor storage it should work. Absolutely do not use 70% and don't rub to dry. Pat very carefully after rinsing in warm water. Experiment on unimportant coins before trying it on a good one.
