I have a 1963 Star Series A $100 Bill crisp excellent condition B00337307* I am curious edited or its worth. Than you Jenna
You might want to post this in the paper money thread. There are some very knowledgeable people there. If the last 0 was a 3 you might have something. Other than that I don't think so.
Why do you think it's missing from someone's collection? Do you think it's stolen? Also, the note has a lot of conditional issues. Must lay flat and be uncirculated and no dog ears to be in excellent condition, or Gem / Choice designation range. Do post this or have a mod move the thread to the Paper Money forum. We also need to see both sides of the note to evaluate it. It's best to scan notes and you need to show the full margins of the note, don't crop the edges in your camera (scanner) when framing the shot.
Guide book prices are nothing to go by. They are an exaggerated ball park figures. Need to look at recent auction results of the same Series and grade of the note to get a better grasp on prices.
A mod (will/might) do this for you. Don't worry about that. But you will get more replies with paper money questions in that forum once it is moved there. So hang tight for others to comment.
I agree with Krispy. Paper currency price GUIDES are just that, guides. Just about all serious collectors use recent auction results for current pricing of paper currency. As stated, your note has condition issues and is the most popular district star among all of the series 1963A $100 notes printed, with over 1.5 million distributed. I'm not saying it's a spender, but $100 note collectors are real picky about condition and will usually wait to find one in uncirculated condition.
