I didn't find any examples of this baby on Wildwinds, and I only found "1" other example on the CNG research archives .... yup, apparently this lil' sweetie is kinda like a Gordie Howe rookie card!? ... or perhaps a Gordian Howe III rookie card?!

... I also thought the coin had great eye-appeal ...

Hope you like it (I love it!!)

Interesting coin, and lovely grade! It makes you wonder how many provincials are floating around that haven't gotten into the books...

    chrsmat71 I LIKE TURTLES!

that a great provincial stevex....the color is great. is it blue like that in hand?

and a dated coin, that's also awesome.

here's a coin that kind of reminds me of yours, it's an unlisted provincial of elagablus, has a cool color, and had a pot of vegetation (a prize urn).

Very sweet coin, brother (I remember droolin' over that baby when you first posted it!!)

Oh, and I don't actually have this sweetie "in-hand' yet (as always, I'll try to remember to respond if and when it arrives at my frosty door)

I have an appalling lack of flora in my collection, but here's a plate of random Roman silver, two of which are ants of Gordian III, so sort-of on topic...

Yah, I guess I took it for granted that everybody knows Gordie Howe (professional hockey player) ...

Ummm curious? => most of you ancient coin-buddies are from the States, correct?

    I'm from Canada, eh?

    Where y'all from?

Not that I don't know hockey, I just don't follow it like the other sports. But I'm from where the Rangers are from, and its not the baseball team. :D
