I wouldn't. Since you splurged for the Mint rolls, you might as well keep the original packaging. Otherwise you paid a premium for nothing. That wrapper is the only thing you have to show for your extra $15.

Iv'e opened about 10 bank rolls and found exactly zip. I don't use a glass on them though. I figure if I can't see the error with the human eye it's not worth it to me.

My original plan was to leave the rolls alone since I paid the premium. As you said Vipergts2 you have found nothing,so I think I will leave them as is.

I have gone through about 8 rolls from my bank all Philly rolls. The D rolls I ordered only because I can’t get the D’s here. I think I’m going to open them only $10 difference.

and the wrapper paper may actually hurt the coins in the long run.
Specially the gold dollars we all know what old Sac’s can look like

Myself, I would not open the Mint rolls...

Go pick up some more bank rolls after searching them, you spend them... Then your only out a buck a kept coin...

All the errors I've seen have come from bank rolls not mint rolls.

I'd leave them as is. Put them in a safety deposit box or something. Or wait a few years and sell them on ebay or to a dealer. They might gain in value because of the errors. But that is only my opinion.

Oh great, now you did it... Here comes eleventy nine more post about how bank rolls and mint rolls are no different as the Mint doesn't roll coins, they are all shipped in big magic bags to a secrect hidden underground Cave in Elbonia where underaged three toed, winged elven boys furiously roll coins all hours the night for 3 cents a month...

Whoa... Sorry, a bit much caffine on lunch... :)

Not saying that there can't be errors in mint rolls just that for all the plain edge coins and even the faceless dollar the finders said they got the rolls at the bank.

Thats because most have not opened there Mint rolls so this = less errors from the mint rolls:goofer:

I ordered one P and one D roll of GW Dollars from the mint, and really got what I believe to be EARLY shipping dates. I have yet to open either package. The product order GW3 (P roll) has a date on the white package of 2/09/07, and the GW4 (D roll) has a white package date of 1/31/07! Since these didn't even go on sale until 2/15/07 (I think), then maybe, just maybe I have some first or at least really early strikes. I am not going to open either roll for awhile, and see what prices look like in the near future. Hopefully they'll go for a premium unopened, or if I decide to open them I might send a few off to have graded, since they appear to be "first or early" strikes. Anyone have any thoughts or advice? I'm far from expert and would appreciate any comments.

My P's are dated 02/12/07,and the D's are 01/29/07,Don't know when they started rolling the coins:(
Good to know that others leave the white boxes unopened like I do with all mint coins I get.:goofer:
