Hi, I never really thought about collecting paper $ until I came to this site to ask a question about a couple of coins I have and I saw the forum for paper money and read some of the posts. so I looked at my bills real quick and thought I'd ask a couple of questions about 2 bills that I have. I think this is a hobby that I can really get into. anyways, I have a 2003 $10 DD star note, also a series 2004A $50 that has a big star to the left of the bottom right serial # and I was wondering if this is a star note? Hello Jay and welcome to the fourm! Sounds like what you have is the following; 1. The DD * note($10) is from the Clevand Federal Reserve Bank with the( FR# being 2037 B*) it value depending on condition is ~ 10% over face. Signatures of Marin/Snow 2. The $50 note is the new style of note with "color"..the large star is part of the design and is on every note. A true $50 starnote will have the small star after the serial # EK 000000001* Here is a pic of a new style "money with color" $50 star note Hope that helps...:smile RickieB

You're welcome, and very cool finding them in circ. Somethings to look for are: Radar notes (example 12344321 or 89411498 etc.) Repeater notes (example 32323232 or 90909090) Star notes Notes older than 95 Anything that looks interesting These are a few examples, some others could probably help you better than me.
