Since the pilot escaped injury I imagine most of the cargo survived too.

 

"crash" and "went down safely" do not really go together. Reporter needs to be a little more precise!

 

Brown is down! Glad he got out. Hope he's okay or at least gets an inflated Wilson out of it.

I would expect this to be called a "freight plane" in Alaska, but not Kansas.

 

They use those small charter craft to ferry items needed in a hurry......maybe even the same day.

I know they use them sometimes to fly in expedited orders where I used to work. The parts were usually worth far less than what it cost to ship them in, but you can't stop production.

 

Kansas is a big state full of a lot of nowhere. Some destinations are remote and easy to reach by air rather than land, I'd suppose.
