DSC07795 (1).JPG DSC07795 (2).JPG DSC07795.JPG DSC07796 (1).JPG DSC07796 (2).JPG DSC07796.JPG I found this coin a ways back. It clearly has some wild doubling on BOTH SIDES of the coin. I plan listing this coin for sale but I am not sure how to correctly describe, in correct terms, the description of this cool coin.

It's not a great set of pictures. I can't get a good light. Also, the picture IS NOT blurry. Just look!

And any value? I saw an ebay similar one around $50, I think.

I say that's pretty cool. Nice find!

If I were listing it on eBay (which I wouldn't, really, but for the sake of argument) I'd list it higher than the other one you found...maybe a $100 BIN/BO, see if anyone bites? Don't see DDO/DDR that often... What price would you be happy to let it go for?

I have never seen anything like this before. When I first saw it I freaked out. Not because of the doubling but because I thought something was wrong with my eyes! Thought about a possible stroke....no kidding!

Ha ha...I'd be pretty excited about it if it were me! Well done, sir, well done.

That's one super doubled die--I especially like the doubled snake! I have seen this one before, unsure of value though. Regarding your pics, you're having focus problems because the camera is at an angle to the coin. The perspective can be seen in the rim thickness.

I was dealing light issues last evening. My goal was to show the doubling!

Well...it was just meant as feedback from someone super-obsessive over image sharpness. :) The focus is roughly centered on the coin, after which sharpness drops off towards the top edges where a lot of the cool doubling is happening. Either the top of the coin is angled away from camera slightly or the lens has flatness of field issues. From what I see, the perspective indicates the coin's at an angle. It's often tricky to get the picture perpendicular, which is why I use a copy stand. Here's an example of the sharpness I'm shooting for. I like how even the small die cracks are brought in focus.

Yep...coin is on a slanted surface and I try to get as close to straight as possible. But there is a small angle there.

Anyone have any interest in this coin? I have it listed on ebay.
