Glad to help. Abe Books is a great resource for bringing together sellers. I find that many sellers tend to be independent book shops and bibliophiles, that offer a lot of good stuff, and care for the books they sell or resell.

I have bought a few vintage numismatic themed books from sellers and been very happy to find them there.

80 bucks! Are you kidding me? We were given autographed copies as gifts at the NGC Luncheon at FUN in 2006.

I'm surprised it would be of surprise at all to you. Sometimes books appreciate in value, as do coins, tokens and bank notes and other collectibles. Autographed books can go for more sometimes, too. If the book is in demand and its out of print, it can fetch more.

I've gotten a lot of gifts at the NGC Luncheons over the years, but nothing valued as high as this book. I never researched it to check on the price.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

I won 2 copies in the NGC weekly Trivia game. Sold one, kept the other. It is a fantastic book - if you are seriously interested in Mercs, this is the one to have.
