Have at it - probably grease filled die - I would guess a 2$ coin at the most!! Ridicule me if you must but these so called errors" do not command high premiums!!

I looked at your photo, and I'm inclined to think it is PMD (post-mint damage). What looks like a ghost image is actually the remnants of the "I" that was scraped to the right and against the "B". We see other Lincoln cents quite often that have parts of the date damaged in the same way which is very easy to do on this coin.

To be brutally honest, you really need to learn more about the minting process before you start buying errors and varieties. There are people on SleazeBay selling junk like this all the time. Like you, some of them know little about the minting process, but there are others who are really just taking advantage of those without the requisite knowledge.

Which is the very reason I suggested he post the link (or even photos) before buying, but it seems the remote possibility of some rare and valuable score was too hard to resist. This is certainly not to say posting links to potential picks a good idea, but when one has little or no knowledge of the, ahem, error yet are intent on bidding, the liklihood of losing money is greater than the potential score.

I hope the price paid was a fair amount for the coins themselves with no added premium.

Hello, Zoran! Welcome to our global neighborhood. I can't speak your native language, but I'm going to make an attempt at trying to understand your questions. If I have interpreted your post incorrectly, please let me know.

First, I assume when you use the word "antiques" you are referring to old coins. There are several factors that can determine the value of your Morgan dollar. Condition and rarity are the two most important. If you can post good, clear photos of both sides (obverse and reverse) maybe we can help you on our "What's it worth?" or "U.S. Coins" forum. Please do not post the photos to this thread because it would be discourteous for the OP.

Thank you Chris. I'm new and still searching. I apologize, I didn't know where to look. By word "antiques"-I ment even older US coins., and others too, old paper money, old stamp collections, books..,etc.
The reason I asked is-I couldn't log in, so I ask someone for help. I'm sorry for interrupting. Thank you for info.

You don't need to apologize, and you haven't interrupted. I'm just trying to give you a little guidance for the future.

Certainly, there are others here who can help you with your older coins and paper money. There may even be some who can direct you to an appropriate site for your stamps and books.

If you're still having trouble logging in, you might try using our "Support and Feedback" forum to resolve the issue.
