I came across this 1972 Washington Quater has doubling on front and back especially on wings but cant find any imfomation on this error does anyone know how to price this coin?
With doubling on both sides it's probably just mechanical cdoubling which normally has ne added value. There is a Denver DDR for the date that is exceedingly valuable even in low grade. There's also a scarce tybe "b" reverse on the Denver that would have a significant premium. The Denver coin rarely comes nice so even a nice Gem has a small premium. The Denver comes very nice and would require a grade of MS-66 or higher to have much premium. They both appear as PL's and these can command a premium as well. Ironically the Philly issue is probably scarcer than the '50-D nickel in Unc but the clads have no demand so very little premium. The Denver is much more available in Unc.
Here is all the imfomation you need on your Quater: It's worth somewhere between 24 cents and 26 cents. On a good day. But, because I have to make a profit, I'll give you 22 cents for it.
