Very nice indeed! I've never seen a piece like this. Pass it down to someone special someday.

A very cool belt buckle. I don't mean to be pickey, but isn't this a Copper-Nickel clad coin? I believe the only 1971 silver coins were the 40% -S mintage.

    I believe it *is* a 1971-s

Do you see that little squiggly thing above the 7? Maybe it's an S.

hahaha, love it but would never wear it. You do realize how many middle aged men would be stopping and staring at your waist if you wore this! That would be some awkward attention!!! 'Is that an S', 'can I get a closer look'...

    Nice buckle - That's a pretty clear "S"

That buckle is huge. Would never work with my gut.

For a 1970's Era design it is actually really nice and lacks the "cheese factor." My mother-in-law told me it either belonged to her son or her husband who has passed. She couldn't remember but wanted me to have it.

My bad. I didn't bring up the enlargement. Appears to be a clear S.

    Nice!

I have a few buckles with pop-up coins in them.

Talk about people staring at your crotch area... :-~
