I see a trend here of collector/horders aging, growing forgetful of their holdings and where they put things... Makes me wonder if this isn't the impetus from which we read headlines of treasures found in homes by families, home buyers or contractors doing work on older homes. I do my best to keep very tight records of my purchases and where things are stored, so I don't loose and rediscover things. What surprises me is that after some time when I go to review "inventory" or feel a need to pull things out for a look and to organize, it is astonishing how quickly purchases turn into a large volume of stuff.
Not by any means a hoarder but I work 80 hours a week or more own 2 businesses and live alone I have a fairly neat 14 room house and I'm not a fan of clutter or paperwork so I put stuff in a drawer in a cupboard etc and forget about it out of sight out of mind. As to cash im busy working someone hands me a $50 I stick it in my pocket and forget about it. Checks I usually remember or a busy antique show and I got 4 people trying to pay and get reciepts at once money gets stuffed in all pockets
