Next to my desk I have a 4 drawer storage container. Over the years of buying stuff it has started to overflow with flips, coin tubes, capital plastic things, etc. So I decided to clean them out, and I found a roll of UNC shield cents, a roll of nice clad Kennedys, a 14K gold necklace, and 1/10 oz 1997 platnium eagle. I forgot I had these things, and it was a pleasant surprise. Have you ever found something you forgot you had?

Sure...but nothing nearly as cool as your stuff. Wanna forget some stuff at my house? :)

Found $400 worth of junk gold jewelry in basement one year in stuff we were tossing out. Helped for Christmas. We thought it was fake, LOL.

Several heavy gold bezels in the same kind of drawer that you described.

Thats pretty cool to find. Unfortunately, my OCD would never allow this to happen to me as I can tell you where any coin I currently own rests in my safe.

Actually, I'm diggin' on those light bulbs. Won't be long before they become a collectors item.

I found my backside...with both hand...in the dark even. My dad told me once that I wouldn't be able do that.

Those are light bulbs that couldn't get the job done, in my journey through coin photography. Now they have been shamed and stored in the bottom drawer, waiting to live the rest of their lives lighting a closet. How ashamed they must feel for their failures.

I found 300 dollars in a James Bond movie (Her Majesty's Secret Service). I don't remember even having 300 dollars to put in there... weird

Oh heck yeah. A few months ago I almost bought one of those large Iranian silver coins with the lion and sword I have always wanted, but missed out. The next day I was going through a box of world coins I bought on Ebay a few years ago and found two of them. Ah, the joys of being an unorganized hoarder...

I think its more fun to be a unorganized collector. I find stuff all the time that I forgot I bought.

When I lived in Australia I would put all the american money I received in a book. Once I moved back to the U.S. I forgot about it and only found it recently. Wasn't too much, only like $30 but still.

That reminds me...This fall I was digging through a box looking for an adapter for a trip to Germany. I found 50 Euros from when I lived in England 10 years prior. Just sitting in a bag, in a box, in a tub, in my basement. :)That was a nice surprise.
