Hello again I've found a 1994 P Washington Quarter that has something in between the L and the A in the word Dollar.

Does anyone know what this could be? Thanks in advance! image.jpg image.jpg

I think it's because the close up is so grainy, can't tell the ups from the downs :pompous:

Oh my! Please do not hold coins like that ever again. Unless it is a worthless coin

I get so excited I forget the handling process is just as important.

Interesting. Could be a struck through error. That's when a foreign object falls onto the planchet before getting struck. Sometimes it's imbedded and sometimes it falls out. It could be something like a staple, wire brush bristle, dropped letter, scrap metal, piece of cloth. Nothing major but still an error. And ditto on not handling any coin like that!:yack:

Squeeze a little harder and you might make a few new "errors" for us to look at :)
