This is a new collection area for me, but since I have become an aficionado of Daniel Carr's work, I decided to go for his 1715 Fleet treasure cob anniversary coins. They have some content from the recovery of the Spanish Fleet treasure, and have multiple die pairings. In the ones where I had a choice, I went for die pair "A." If people are interested, they have not as yet sold out. Seller's pictures, not mine: cob_1715_1.1.jpg cob_1715_2.1.jpg cob_1715_2A_1.jpg cob_1715_2A_2.jpg

Very cool. Thanks for the heads up. I couldn't resist.

I ordered satin finish in Die pair B and toned in Die pair D.

That one is brass. I agree it's cool. I only could afford 2 of them at this time. I would have liked more.

There are also the 1622 Atocia cobs available as well. They are nice, too.

I know. I saw those as well. 2 1715's or one of each? I went with 2 1715's, one toned and one satin.

    I got a Die pair A Satin Finish 1715, a toned finish Die pair A 1715, A brass 1715, and a toned 1715. So, 4 in all.

Is each colored coin toned differently?
