I was scrolling through eBay and found it. The d on the coin looks weird and I heard there was an error from this year. I cant tell but it looks like it to me but I need a seconded opinion. All advice is appreciated. ebay item number is 181633413095
While on that page, it's a lot easier if you just place your cursor on the URL, right click and then left click on "COPY". When you come here to start your thread, right click anywhere in the body of the text block and left click on "PASTE". Chris
Does look like it. Did you buy the roll? Check out this link http://www.coppercoins.com/diesearch.php?date=1944&thismint=d&thistype=mmom&page=2
Ok thank you for advice but what do you think about the coin? http://www.ebay.com/itm/18163341309...l?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=181633413095&_rdc=1
You sure says the winning bid was $11.50. Have you had any luck with these wrapped seeded rolls or did you take a flyer because of the rpm?
If the roll has some other good ones or the CWT is ok yes. If that is the RPM I sent a link to then real good in my opinion. I just never thought these rolls to be legit and since they didn't advertise the RPM you may have cherry picked a nice and I sure hope you did. Post some pics when it arrives.
The CWT looks a little rough and you only see the side showing so that hurts the evaluation. That being said I'd say $5-$10 depending on who wanted it and how bad. I think you made a fair deal not a real bargain but not too overly priced either. I like CWTs and RPMs so I think I would be happy with it at $11.50 just know 99.9% of those rolls are rolled by the seller. You can't even believe 90 years after they circulated that CWTs were so common you'd find 100's of rolls a week with one on the end of the roll and banks aren't in the habit and never have been of letting that many dimes end up on a roll end of cents. It's just common sense reasoning to know its a gimmick. Good luck with that one.
