Yup. They are zinc coated steel. Not worth a great deal since they are circulated. I see them at my LCS for 5-10 cents a piece.
Welcome to coin talk! The 1943 Penny was steel coated in zinc to save copper for the war effort. It was for that one year only and so a lot of people kept them as curiosities. They are quite common.
Welcome to CT. Like both guys above said, pretty common, but I'll admit, when you see them for the first time they definitly make you do a double take. Uncirculated examples are really cool looking.
