2004 Penny w/o raised surface error?

    It's very worn. Most likely from being in a dryer for a period of time.

    Sandpapered and dropped in lemon juice or vinegar, it does that (I have tried) the vinegar reacts with exposed zinc to make it black and start to dissolve, it is a classic "acid base" DIY science experiment.
