1972 Cent - Possible Die Alignment Error?

    Any thoughts on if this a die alignment error or just PMD?

    It's a partial collar error. Nice find.

    Doesn't look like a partial collar to me. looks more like Post strike damage.

    Probably from an Encased jewelry piece at some point. I had Fred Weinberg look at this one in hand in Chicago this past August and its an old encased coin.
