I like Ron Paul, but I find it really hard to support him because of his fanatic cult-like followers. It's a shame cause it doesn't really have anything to do with him. The people that praise him are the same people that destroy him.

I liked Rand Paul until he came out with his stance on Cuba.

He's got some great ideas and opinions, but has some real wacky ones as well.

Not a single response on how he holds the coin. Agreed, people should teach these guys how to hold them! Let's avoid the politics folks!

How he held the coin was not important if you listened to his message. He cared less about the numismatic value of the coin. He was referring to the Silver or Gold Value as in bullion. If the coins sank in a ship they would have extraordinary value as opposed to a dollar bill sinking in a ship would have no value. Do you think it matters if that coin had a finger print?

I have a Ron Paul NORFED signed by Ron Paul himself and believe it or not he put his fingerprint on it :) If he would of won the Presidency it would be worth a lot more Money.

Is there an appropriate forum to which political discussion threads could be moved?

Did not watch the video, just a few scenes where he holds the coin. Well, people who believe that commodities such as gold should replace money won't really care about the numismatic aspect, I think. You buy such pieces at bullion value, you sell them at BV. If I get, say, a 1 oz Austrian Philharmonics silver piece, the PM dealer who I may sell it to later will not care about scratches or fingerprints. :)

Appropriate forum, yes - see http://www.partisanlines.com operated by Peter as well. However, as that is a different site, topics from here cannot be moved there.
