After about a year of roll saerching I have completed my first roll of Wheats. All pulled from circulation. I finally finished one of my goals. Many more goals to accomplish. A few dates that I have found that are worth mentioning are: 1909 1910 1919 1920 1930 1938 Now off to pursue more goals. Thanks for reading. Phoenix
Congratulations! Determination and persistance, way to. Just goes to show that there are many many coins still out in circulation, but you must look very hard to find them. The big part is you got them for face value, that's special.
Thanks all. The thrill of the hunt is also what made this really fun. I'm going to see how many rolls I can put together by the end of the year. That is my new goal. Thanks all so far for replying! Phoenix :cool
Nice job Phoenix....so tell us where you are looking?? You know..grocery stores, pocket change, cash register.. Nice finds.. RickieB
About everything. I always look at my change, I check my dad's pockets when he let's me, I'll even ask some clerks if I see something in there drawer, if I could exchange. But my BIG secret how I find alot of my stuff is Phoenix
Awesome, some day i'm going to go roll searching for pennies...I always feel weird if i go into a bank and ask for a hole box. IDK it just seems kind of weird to me
Thanks all. I'm proud of my self. Thanks for the kind responses. Yeah Ryan, it feels kind of wierd until they get to know you. The funny thing is I'll go in and ask for rolls of cents, they give me the wierdest of looks, and then I say pennies. It is kind of funny to see there expressions. But, searching cents is to me one of the good pay outs, (I never find silver so dimes and quarters are out of the question for me) but in cents I find wheats, BU coppers, plenty of errors, but that is just me. Thanks for all the responses! Phoenix
