time to admitt the truth

    STAMPS????? Say it isn't so Kirk:)

    I have thought about the scenario if coins were 90% off. Yeah, I would lose a bunch, but I think I would still collect and buy the coins I could never afford.

    No, I wouldn't stop collecting. The thrill to me is in the researching of different issues, not their value.

    Yep, my stamp collection had a similar start as my coin collection. I was handed the family collection at about five years old because I was the only one that showed any interest in continuing the collections. I'm not much of a stamp guy, but they are pretty interesting. I like encapsulated stamps the most though; best of both worlds.

    If the bottom fell out of the coin market, I'd be both happy and sad. Obviously sad because of the re-sale value loss, but like many, I'd be out trying to add coins I could never possibly afford at today's prices.
