im sorry guys i have to get something off my chest , my names chris and im a coin~a~holic .. i see coins in certified ,graded, or any condition even raw i get all gitty like a school boy.. i some time spend half my check on them.. but i always pay my rent.. and have food in the house..as of this month i ave to tone down on the numismatic spending i promised my girl id reduce it to $100 a month....after the end of the month.... my word is my bond..
A 100$ a month??? I could do that in 5 minutes!!!! Guess you ain't the addict you thouth you were - just a PW listening to your girl that thinks you are - love collecting?? Coins VS Girlfriend - decisions, decisions,! Coins never leave you and you always know what you got - can't say that about girlfriends
I don't know what I should budget for coins his year. Maybe $200 a month. Seems like it should be less, but the addiction kicks in.
Huh... and I was expecting to read something about responsibility for one's own actions in regards to highly questionable buyer conduct, and intentionally trying to ruin someone's ebay business. Silly me.
Sorry Chris but your girlfriend has to go, as a coin - a-holic remember the 10 steps and pledge. And no matter what NO REHAB.....
I promised my lady I'd spend only $50/month. I spent that already on supplies this year! Hopefully I can trade away my excess world coins and save up for a good coin for my Type Set at the end of the year. I am also a coin-a-holic.
she loves me even if i am still collecting , but i want to be able to contribute to things and help us grow better.. this is more of a personal discipline than anything else , i can always box hunt and that doesnt count..as spending..lol..
my monthly spending amount varies. it is never set. usually in the $100 range. $300-500 range during christmas for myself. lol yup a nice present for me.
I'm not addicted either...I can stop any time. As a matter of fact, I decided to stop in February...I just haven't chosen what year yet. Bruce
Me too, something to get off of my chest as well...I......also.....collect stamps. Not very actively, but I'm still trying to complete my old album. Back in the day, those stamps were very expensive. Today I can get cool old rarities for cents on the dollar. Imagine if one day all of the coins you ever wanted were on sale for 90% off, would you stop collecting?
