This may seem like a weird question but I was wondering if it was possible.... I am wanting to take a Morgan silver dollar (year not important) and somehow have a kennedy half dollar on the tails side of the morgan silver dollar... Is this possible at all? Thanks in advance
Daniel Carr at Moonlight Mint might be into that...he makes a nice 1964 Peace dollar fantasy piece, by over striking old peace dollars with a die dated 1964. Maybe he could figure out how to overtrike the two designs you're talking about on an old Morgan dollar....though the Kennedy half reverse would have to be enlarged.
Most machinists could make 2 matching sections with a jeweler lathe, so they could thread together, but as phankins mentioned, the half might not cover most of the obvious dollar part of the reverse
Photoshop should do the trick and then you can animate the image files to spin the coin digitally and show both sides as if it's the real deal. Alternatively, you could commission Daniel Carr to whip one up for you! I love his work.
