    Bring on the New Year 2015.

    Here's my favorite coin from [XX]15:

    1815Po.jpg 1815Pr.jpg 1815PSo.jpg

    This is a coin of the former wife of Napoleon and daughter of the Austrian Emperor, the beautiful Marie Louise, Duchess of Parma. After the defeat and abdication of Napoleon, the former Empress of France was made Duchess of Parma by the victorious allies.

    It's good to know that this nice coin survived for two centuries, along with the memory of this remarkable duchess. Marie Louise was an enlightened, tolerant visionary and generous patroness of the arts.

    May her memory (and this coin) survive forever. And may we all have a happy and healthy new year.

    A beautiful coin. Shame her silvers are expensive.

    Here's a wee little brother of Stevex6's coin, Canada 1915 Silver Five Cent, mintage of 1,172,258 (the lowest of the George V silver five cents series).

    Leaving the US out of "The World", it would be this 1 Mark coin. Love the Imperial Eagle.

    From the US, it would be this old Indian...

    mark240590 Rule Britannia !

    Mine would be the latest coin I've bought..

    NGC AU50. Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel 24 Mariengroschen - 2/3 Thaler.
    Falls into my collection oddly by having
    King George IV as the regent of Karl II. This is a one year type with a 24,000 Mintage. The new style of King of Great Britain added to the legend.

    That's a sweet coin, mark240590 => very cool colour & great eye-appeal ...

    However, the thread-title is "Favorite Coin from [XX]15"

    Hey, but look on the bright-side => your coin is gonna dominate this same category in 5 years!!
