Tonight I'm going to attend my first meeting of the local Black Hills coin club. Besides a notebook and pen should I take along any coins for show & tell. Is that proper coin club etiquette? Please forgive my 101 level question, but I've never been to a coin club meeting of any kind before. Thanks Ben
I usually will bring something from my collection to share with our club members. Even better to bring something of knowledge to share such as coin facts, trivia, current events in the coin world. Our club is based on educating our memebers in all area of numismatics. Helping members be better prepared in purchasing coins, understanding the "big picture" in the trading world, are a few things that make a club successful. Our club also has an auction, where members put coins up for sale for themselves or donate to the club for sale to support the club treasury. If you have some good publication that have articles of interest take them also. Have fun!
Thanks, I'll try to come up with something like that. Bust Half Dollar information, etc. Take Care Ben
That's a good idea. I know I was very impressed with your collection of Bust halfs along with your knowledge of them. Even though I don't collect them, it makes me want to.
If it was around where I live, I'd take my .357. Every time I go to a coin show around here I always have that with me. Then when leaving, go around the area a few times to see if any of the same cars are behine me.
Ben. Your knowledge of bust halfs is something that I am sure the members of this coin club would be thrilled to here about share your knowledge with them. Bruce.
