What does an Obscure Set or Obscure coin mean???

I have a registryset of Alasken Bingles at PCGS.

They can get pricey and hard to find but I don't think most collectors know what they are. There is a nice description in the link.
Same with Lincoln cent varieties. Most people know the main ones but there are tons out there most people know nothing about.

 

Just a rare, or unheard of, or undervalued coin which has a low price which no-one is very intrested in.

 

I would rephrase that to

 

I was reading about bingles a while back in the Red Book, and have been trying to find a few. I saw two for sale (5c & 50c) on eBay a couple of weeks ago, but they didn't look in the best shape. Any clues where else I could find any?

That is awesome, I wish I had the cash to drop on that... Being from Alaska those are of significant interest to me, especially since I'm from the Matanuska Valley! VERY COOL!!

 

obscure means that the die crack on the obverse near the blah blah blah and only two people in the world give a hoot
