The 1878 G$10 is housed in an NGC 'No Line Fatty'.
Probably sounds like I'm making this stuff up.

It's not as good of a thing as the old PCGS holders, but it certainly isn't a bad thing either.
While I can appreciate your attempt to sell the collection as a private transaction, and to be sure - there are more than a few on this forum who could purchase the collection, you may well find that your best bet is consignment to a major auction house.

It's not a bad thing at all. Grams had the for site to get these pieces graded. Or, maybe she bought them this way?

What kind of % do the auction houses take? What are some suggestions?

Most of them were left ot her by a dear friend who passed away 15 years ago. Several of them she perchased though. They were purchased wit hgrading.

I've never consigned a coin to any of the major houses, so I'll let someone with some more experience counsel you on that bit.
I'll leave you with this - make sure you are keeping the coins someplace safe, cool, and dry.
Feel free to PM if you have any other questions. I'll try my best to help.
Now if you'll excuse me, I've got some back episodes of Game of Thrones to watch.

When selling at Great Collections any coin over $1000 has NO seller fee

Most auctions charge between 20 and 30%. I liv in PA and a local auction house I go to to buy coins charges a 20% commission. Most of the items go for more than there worth which is good for you since your selling. It's not uncommon for junk Morgans and Peace Dollars to bring $50+. There have been more then a few threads here on how people way overpay at auctions. Like I said before consigning them is your best bet. That's what I would do anyway. Good Luck.

Ebay brings what they are actually worth as well, that is where I buy a majority of the graded gold I have. I would be interested in some of these, so let us know when/how you sell

    applecapital -

    Go here - http://www.ha.com/

Call 'em up, explain what you have. They may ask for pictures, if they do send them. After that, they should come right to you to see the coins and discuss options.
