If you look at this coin, carefully, there are several "layers or tiers"......on the "2". I am familiar with machine doubling....as with Your example. What is Your opinion regarding mine? Thanks.
You definitely need a clearer photo from directly overhead because based on your image, I don't see a DDO. Chris
What does this mean? If you are referring to furry's avitar, you are badly mistaken. No MD there. That's a highly coveted doubled die.
Furry found his roll searching and other 72 examples as well I believe he can give you a solid opinion on yours
Those "layers or tiers" are classic machine doubling. Flat and shelf-like. My Avatar is a 1972 DDO #1. Notice that there are no "layers or tiers", just two individual numbers. This link may help also: http://www.errorvariety.com/Doubled-dies/1972P.html
Try to pick out the "top" image. If it's not fully-intact, 99.99% of the time it's machine doubling. The percentage might even be higher than that.
