Nice coins I got a couple 13 star 1828s a real nice one just came back from ngc I think they way undergraded it I figured it at 50 they called it 40. I'll send it off for a bean
So Paddy has all three varieties of the 1828 half cent. (two varieties of the 13 and one of the 12 star)
Had no idea as coppers are not a strong point in my collection . Just wanted the 12 & 13 star variety the other 13 star coin was purchased on a whim. I have quite a few references on coins more than my wife thinks I need....lol but only one on cents from the 1840s-1850s. LG cents. I have nothing on half cents other than in Breen catalog ,And red book. I must admit that like half dimes these half cents did find there way into my collection. As I was putting together a type set. I also love the bust coinage time period. So that also made me pull the trigger .
@Paddy54 I think there all great! 1801 1828 1830 were coins our generation tried to collect 1/2 - dollars. I can remember the hunting well. ;-)
Frank ....... Serenity Now...Serenity Now.... It would serve you right if Doug gave me a like for this post! And if by chance he does..... I'm going to frame it, and every time you act up flash it Right in your face. Of course it will be just a copy the original is going to the Smithsonian to share with all mankind .
Oh no...Frank you get to drive down I-95 to Washington D.C. try to find parking somewhere on Constitution Ave. Then at the Smithsonian ..... Stand in line.... because there will be crowds. Or you could come here and look down in the lower left corner here and drool! BTW there's a slight charge for a drool bucket.
Thanks Bill you're da man....I'll make sure if I get my" like "you'll have a VIP access and valet parking . Oh there's a seafood buffet too. Crab cakes yum!
Lucky of the Irish but of course you would know nothing about that! Just so everyone knows Frank is not Irish .... TG ...however I just like to say he's a "Nice Guy! " He'll even help an old lady across a road even though she don't need to go.
