    have you check to make sure its gold, lots of liberty head gold dollars are casted pieces, but the gold is real on them

    Have you taken it to any local coin shows, thats a good place to start, I'm just looking at images, it still could be real, but the images I'm looking at, look casted, I've been beat, once or twice, on gold casted coins, the one I talked about in post 44

    it certainly doesn't look like gold. I would suggest getting it tested by professionals. It can be very deceiving.

    hi everyone sent my coin to DNW auctions in London they reckon between £600 and £800 so fingers crossed

    There is an enormous difference between the coins. It is hard to believe somebody would take the effort to make an intricate copy. Yet I suppose it happens all the time.
