I wasn't aware that you had one of the Kyrenaika Silphium types - I'm sure I don't have to tell you that's a very special coin. A didrachm, right?
Very nice collection indeed. Took me a few to figure out which ones I liked the best then decided to pick a few of them. 5,8,12,24,26,28 are the ones I like the best. Too bad, the coin with the shield will be totally corrupted in the centuries ahead. The copper will bubble up and peel away. Collectors won't like them much. They will want pre-reform 1982 Lincoln cents. Some 1982s will be junky of course.
Collectors will be so angry they will get them bulk uncleaned lots. The US post-reform 2014 legible date will be worth a lot . I imagine one in UNC would be worth a fortune. *cough* in 2 thousand years*
There are definitely some interesting coins there but the Kyrene is hands-down the pick of the litter. In my opinion .
You have had an excellent year in 2014 ANoob! I can't wait to see the coins you come up with in 2015. In 2015 I hope to see some more obscure kingdoms from you! Hopefully your little numismatist in training is doing well!
AN, you bought many nice coins. If I had to pick, I would say I like 8 and 12, beautiful Sasanian coins, the best.
