I love odd things, and what can be more bizarre than a $100 trilion dollar bill that is worth pennies? I am collecting all the bills in this series:

What is the common name for this series? What years were they printed? `

I have the $1, the $500,000, and the $100 trillion bills. Which ones am I missing?

Those sell for about $15-$20 on ebay. They are not legal tender anymore.
This is the entire series here

If 100,000,000,000,000 dollars in their currnecy is worth pennies I wonder what 1 dollar is worth?

Well, now it's worth a dollar there, as the government, such as it is, abandoned their own worthless currency and started to use the US dollar wherever possible, with the goat, the chicken and mealie meal as everyday barter currency.

It is hard to think of any other occasion in history where one man, without any actual warfare to complicate the process, has managed to ruin a country and its economy so comprehensively and so quickly.

I have some historical exchange rate in for and it went kind of like this

In 1983 the Zimbabwe dollar and U were at par so in 1983 1Z$ = 100 cents US
    In 1997 1Z$ = 10 cents US
    In 2000 1Z$ = 1 cent US
    In June 2002 1Z$ = .1 cent US
    March 2005 1Z$ = .01 cent
    Jan 2006 1Z$ = .001 cent US
In July of 2006 they did a currency reform of 1000 old Z$ = 1 new Z$ That would make 1NZ$ = 1 cent US
    Sept 2006 1NZ$ = .001 cent US
    Sometime between Feb and March 2007 1 NZ$ = .0001 cent US or 10,000 NZ$ = 1 cent
    Sometime between may and June 2007 1 NZ$ = .00001 cent US or 100K NZ$ = 1 cent
    Oct 2007 1 NZ$ = .000001 cent US or 1M NZ$ = 1 cent
    Sometime between Jan and Feb 2008 1 NZ = .0000001 cent US or 10M NZ$ = 1 cent
    April 2008 1 NZ= .00000001 cent US or 100M NZ$ = 1 cent
    In May 2008 1 NZ$ = .000000001 cent US or 1B NZ$ = 1 cent
Before the end of the month it passed 1NZ = .0000000001 cent or 10B NZ$ = 1 cent
    In June 2008 it passed 1 NZ$ = .00000000001 cent or 100B NZ$ = 1 cent
    In July 2008 it passed 1 NZ$ = .000000000001 cent or 1T NZ$ = 1 cent
In July another currency reform took place that chopped 12 zeros off so 1T NZ = 1 NNZ$ = 1 cent US
    Before the end of Aug 2008 1 NNZ$ = .0001 cent US
    Before the end of Sept 2008 1 NNZ$ = .000001 cent US or 1M NNZ$ = 1 cent
    Oct 14th 2008 1 NNZ$ = .0000001 cent or 10M NNZ$ = 1 cent
    Oct 20th 2008 1 NNZ$ = .00000001 cent US or 100 M NNZ$ = 1 cent
    Before Oct 28 it passed 1 NNZ$ = .0000000001 cent US or 10B NNZ$ = 1 cent
    By the end of Oct it reached 1 NNZ$ = .00000000001 cent US or 100 B NNZ$ = 1 cent
    In Nov it passed 1 NNZ$ = .000000000001 cent US or 1 T NNZ$ = 1 cent
    In Dec 2008 it passed 1 NNZ$ = .0000000000001 cent US or 10 T NNZ$ = 1 cent
By the end of Dec it passed 1 NNZ$ = .00000000000001 cent US or 100 T NNZ= 1 cent (This equals the 100 Trillion dollar note shown)
    Mid January it passed 1 NNZ$ = .00000000000000001 cent US or 100 Q NNZ$ = 1 cent
    By Feb 2009 it passed 1 NNZ$ = .0000000000000000001 cent US or 10,000 Q NNZ$ = 1 cent
    In Feb another 12 zeros were dropped so 1T NNZ$ = 1NNNZ$ = .0000001 cent US or 10K NNNZ$ = 1 cent
    By March 2009 1NNNZ$ = .000000001 cent US or 1M NNNZ$ = 1 cent
In March 2009 the Zimbabwe dollar was abandoned.
If they hadn't done the currency reforms it would have taken 1X10^33 Z$ or 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Zimbabwe dollars to equal one US dollar.

Each bill is $15-20 or the whole collection is $15-20?

The 100 trillion note alone sells for about $20 in UNC condition on ebay.

This is no longer legal tender, but back in 2009 that 100 trillion note was the equivalent of about one US quarter.

I can just imagine the size of a check when you need to write down so many zeros just to buy a coffee and donuts.

I did a unit on inflation when I taught school. Here are two checks for lunches.
