What kind of error is this? Jefferson Nickel... Lamination?

    I have this Jefferson that has a major error of some sort on the obverse.... what is causing this? How did this happen? And what is the value of this type of error?

    Nice lamination Kasia! I love that the piece is still attached. If you'll notice, there is another one started, down the face through the temple area.

    This piece has been in circulation a lot. I'm surprised someone didn't take it out way back when.... Can it be that some people just don't notice these things?

    wow that is a beautiful lamination error. that is so neat how the metal is still attached and yes i agree - i do see another one started down the face. so basically im just repeating what jay4202472000 said .___. i could have just liked that post and been done with it :l
