Sorry if this is to many GTG at the same time, but I'm just trying to see at how well my photography reflects the actual grade of the coins I own.

The white balance is clearly off, but your coin looks very frosty and has good eye appeal. I guessed MS62 because the obverse ticks were just too large for the apparent luster to overcome.

It's got tons of cool die polish lines on the reverse...beauty of a coin. I'm at MS-65. I want to push higher but washington's bust has a couple of dings it looks like. Great coin, awesome date/mm combo, and, if I'm not mistaken, it's a heavy motto variety...still an empty hole in my Dansco 8140.

Does that correct some of the issues?

I've attached an image of the obverse with some white balance and other edits, but it might not look like it does in-hand. Regardless, I think I was too tough on the coin in my first guess and would go with MS63 if I had a do-over.

Wow that white balance and other adjustments makes a world of a difference. What program do you use for photo editing? Also I edited the poll so votes could be changed.

I use Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo, but be aware that I also do this (coin dealer and coin photographer) as my full-time job.

It is still best to have the correct white balance to begin with. BTW GIMP will do the same thing and it is free.

Looks very frosty but I think the marks on GW's head and neck hold it back to a 63.

I'll be the first to go out on a limb with 64. It also looks to be in some older plastic. Those neck marks though..
