    One of the great things about coin collecting is that it need not cost a lot of money. Post your favorite coin purchase in 2014 that cost less than $50. Here's a 1957-D that cost me $11.

    It's not a USA coin, but my favorite for < $50 was this 4 centavos piece from Portugal. I got it for $30...

    Oooh, I like this game! I bought 6 coins under $50 this year for my Type Set.

    I choose this one, I paid $44 shipped, which I think is great for the toning.
