    No im no expert but it looks like Caesar to me.

    Caesar? There were a great many Caesars.... and Augustii? Please can an expert in Septimius Severus denarii help me?? Maridunum.....Doug???

    Septimius Severus IMP VII reverse Minerva standing TRP III Rome mint. As far as strike goes this is better than most which tend to be off center on small flans. The corrosion, I assume, point to it being a field single find. No? RIC 68, Cohen 391. Most look like this one. They come with a range of dating numbers so many are not attributable to RIC with the IMP or TRP number off flan.
