I can't tell if the lips are open or the die cutter was trying to make the lips thicker, more lifelike. Nice coin regardless.

 

Thats cool, ive seen some portrait with what looks like the mouth partly open. It isnt often though.

 

I like the FORT RED!

 

indeed, a "fortred" is on my list.

always reminds me of the u s army engineers , lol...dad was one of those in korea.
