How do you think I made out with my Mercury dime? Prices confuse me!

So I have been searching the local coin shows and ebay for a 1942-S MS67FSB for about 2 years with mixed luck. Last week I purchased this beauty. Searching ebay, numismedia, and Heritage past auction results revealed prices ranging from ~$350-~$700. I paid $479 total. I think I did OK, Greysheet guys and professionals how do you think I scored? I do know that the 40's MS67's in FSB seem to be more difficult to find in the past 2 years than before.

    Thanks

Great looking coin. If you're happy about it, that's really all that matters.

I think you did alright given the fact that it has the almighty bean attached. I would think that the higher range of the price range is for nice toned coins.

Looks pretty close to perfect. I'm sort of lost when the grade gets past MS 65 on these little coins

I found one auction price of $575 without the bean. This was in April of this year. Looks like you did just fine. :>)

Three of these PCGS MS-67 FB CAC sold on GC; 2 in 2013 for $448 & $458 and 1 in 2014 for $825--you bought it at the low end of what you could reasonably expect to resell it for if you need to do so in the near future, so IMO you have a good potential for appreciation, and it is a beautiful coin!

Thanks for the kind words. In doing reseasrch I've found much the same as the comments. This coin apparently has had quite a broad range of proces over the past few years.
