Morgandude11 As long as it's Silver, I'm listening

Think I am going to sell my 82-84cc GSAs and get toned ones instead. Tired of the GSA common dates. So will be shopping after the holidays for CC toners. :)

Why not have both? I'm partial to DPL's too. It's easier to judge colors in-hand. Lot's of juiced photos around. I'm getting better at judging them from photos and have a few Morgan toners that I'm happy with as well.

Is how I collect Morgan's I collect the ccs brilliant and by date and everything else by toning I don't care what the date is as long as the color surface and eye appeal are good

The first year of Carson City Silver dollars. The silver did not come from the Comstock Lode, but from closer to Mono Lake (in California). They were carried in saddlebags from the CC mint to Reno for distribution.

Yeah, the information about the silver source came from someone whose ancestor was a close friend of the CC mint superintendent. He still has one of the first 3 1870 CC dollars struck.. an engraved presentation piece.. that was given to his ancestor.

Your 76 looks just as good! I had the 73 for about 24 hours! I'm still loving it. Need a 78-cc tho :)
