I thought this was interesting. I bought a Presidential Dollar with nothing on the rim from a fellow in tallahassee, Florida. I paid $67. for it on ebay Tuesday night. He had said FREE shipping. I got it this morning Thursday. it was sent UPS next day air. This person works for a bank there, and has a lot of them. Just a note here, on Wednesday they went way up in price because CNN and Fox had it on the news. I still think that they are going to be very valuable. They were only found in one small area in Florida.
What goes up may come down. Fox and CNN are reporting the facts completely wrong. The girl today on Fox said there worth $50,000 I think she meant to say there are 50,000 or more out in circulation. P.S. Got 5 rolls of the Montana -P- Quarters at the bank today :headbang:
Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. Best guess is the roll I got them from was from a Midamerica bank in Naperville, though it may have been the Glen Ellyn Branch.
Heh, the other day I had someone ask me if I had seen the new ""Gold Dollars".... They actually thought the dollers were real gold and not a gold tone... They actually got angry at me and said, just because you collect coins doen't mean you know everything... I said, your right, I must have been thinking about a different coin...:rolling:
LOL. Wonder what there faces will be like when they find out the real compisition. It wouldn't make sense if they were real gold, when you can get them at the bank for a dollar. :rolling: Phoenix
That was my thought, but you just can't argue with some people... Even if you have Solid facts and they only have an Opinion...
