When I saw JA post a pic of his new aquarium, I thought it might be fun to start another thread. So I will start with this: Always wanted one of these. Okidoki here I come!
I put the gravel and rocks in the tank, but I'm not sure I like the feng shui. It looks like a random rock collection, but my daughter picked them out, so I'm going with it. Probably when it's grown over with plants it won't look so stark...
My wife did quite well ... Firstly, she bought a dozen bottles of wine for my cool, previously empty wine-rack (she's askin' for trouble, eh?) Secondly, she bought me a sweet pair of Oakley sunglasses, with a rockin' trendy idiot-string attached (so I don't get hammered on the wine and then lose my new sunglasses) => winna, winna!! SIDENOTE: The first-edition "Lord of the Flies" that I gave her went over very well (Ho-Ho-Ho)
I will not be discouraged by your nay-saying, Eeyore! Anyway, now we have...MUCK. But the guy at the aquarium store did tell me the water would be cloudy at first, on account of the dust in the gravel. Next to wire it all up.
Got this little beauty from my parents along with some clothes and such. A little verdi-care should clean up the reverse quite nicely.
Let's see, December purchases, (my presents to myself), consisted of 8 artuqid bronzes, a gold solidus of Justin, and a few sogdian coins. Kind of a slow month, but maybe I will find something at FUN.
My dad (my mom is very against buying coins) bought me a 1/10 oz gold 5 dollar coin (2014). I thought it was very nice of him, and very generous. He also bought me a type set holder that ive been begging for forever... Better late then never.
Nick Mason . . . he's actually the one and only remaining original member since the formation of the band.
Let me count all my presents. Hmmm, which to present first? I got a book and an Army sweatshirt and, um, well, thats it. To be honest, my son in Poland sent a gift that has not arrived yet.
=> God, you're soooo correct (man, she deserves so much better, eh?) ... she rocks Oh, and your sweatshirt sounds pretty cool ... I never got a sweatshirt (*sigh*) => we all love ya, my sweet ol' coin-brother (I hope that you have a great 2015)
Oh, a shout out to stevex6! He helped me pick out an antique book for my fiancée. Ended up going with an 1886 edition of Emma. She loved it!
