These are my three new silver coins, the German 5 Marks is i think the German archaeological institute anniversary, the Canadian silver dollar, commemorative of the matthew, is the last type i needed for 1939 to 1968 circulating silver dollars. The straits settlements 50 cents i had been eyeing for a while and finally bought.

Here's a Mongolian coin - something you don't see too often in the U.S.

I would have sold more than half my coin collection to get this 1 coin. This grade never comes up in the market. It's been 10 years since I say a raw MS coin. I was not going to wait another 10 years go by. doing the happy coin dance now. :)

Here are four that I just picked up. One is a Sachsen 1 mark notgeld coin from Germany. This is made of porcelain, and I've wanted a porcelain coin for awhile now. The others are additions to various sets I'm trying to complete: a 1949 New Zealand crown, 1911 Brazilian 2000 reis and 1916 Jamaican farthing. The interesting thing about the New Zealand crown is I got it from a guy in Slovakia for only 99 cents, but $12 shipping. Usually they sell for at least $15, so it about evens out, just most of the money was on shipping. However, when it arrived I see he only spent 1.20 euros on postage, so he's not as ignorant as it seemed. 1911 brazil 2000 reis.jpg 1916 jamaica farthing.jpg 1921 sachsen 1 mark.jpg 1949 new zealand crown.jpg

Picked these up today. I picked them out before Christmas but put them on layaway until I figured out how much cash I would have left.
