Ancient Curved Greek

    Weighing 8.8 g., this ancient Greek coin seems to have a curved shape and an interesting reverse. The obverse is much clearer and visible at hand than scanned. I wish you could assist me to better identify it. Thanks.. Charles GRRA.jpg GROA C.jpg

    Is Athena Promachos the same Athena, goddess of wisdom, that we know on earliest Greek Tets ?

    Same goddess, but Athena Promachos refers to a sculpture by Pheidias.

    I think what he means is Athena Pallas the protector of the city.

    It's less common than the most common Seleucids, but I don't know about scarce. Most Seleucid bronze seems to be scarce in better grades.
