Yes, she is a great half. Unfortunately, she no longer lives with me. The prices for BGs have gotten so ridiculous that I simply could no longer afford to keep her around. Back in the 1970s when I got her she was under a 100 bucks. Now a nice XF like this one goes for 5 figures!

It's the old deal with the devil, only in Kim's and many modern cases, which is the devil...?

Well, to me, she is a famous person, mostly only in name, and not someone I really care about her daily activities. Famous for being famous is an apt description. However, I will say I find her face quite attractive and her figure very curvy when I see photos of her. So, like many (smart) women, she is using her good looks and monetizing her assets. For people saying she is just a terrible useless nobody, they are missing the mark by a LONG shot. She is a business women, and a very smart one at that. She is making a lot of money, and she is laughing all the way to the bank.

The business of business is business. For the naysayers; What is your brand worth?

    Enough already !

The topic of the thread is about coins, not Kim. So keep it that way.

A lot of women and feminists would challenge you, Geek... just saying,. But so too would many here who look for talent and merit to warrant the attention. You give her a lot of credit for being a business woman, and her PR entourage thanks you for believing that and the hard work they did to pass that over onto you and the unsuspecting public that consumes this sort of cultural gibberish they call talent and beauty. There are a lot of people who deplore such people for using sex or implied sexuality, exploiting one's superficiality to sell themselves and tug at the emotional connection it solicits in people and how it informs others to view themselves. Beauty and sexuality are as subjective as coin grading.

there have been a couple of lines of discussion, one about her and one about coins going on simultaneously. Seems people are enjoying the conversation. Don't like the direction it went, move it to GD, but don't stifle the discussion.

Sounds like someone has a crush on Kim, and doesn't like her being spoken of negatively.

Hardly, until this thread I had heard of her maybe once ! Last warning, either talk about coins or don't talk at all.

My apologies, GDJMSP. I asked, because like you, I had seldom heard of her other than the type of personal remarks being put forth in this thread.

Still have no clue who she actually is.

I like coins and want to know more about "the Kim Kardashian of coins" based on what people in this thread think, but to know what that means, means to know more about the woman named and which especially seems in need of explaining who she is to those who don't know, or claim not to know, the person. This has been a lighthearted discussion jesting about the celebrity in question and there also has been a OP specific line of discussion about coins going on at the same time.

The thread title is The Kim Kardashian "OF" Coins

Meaning a coin which has simply been "popularized" via good marketing similar to that which made KK practically a household name in many homes across the country.

Yes, she is attractive and I could get just as lost in her pictures as I could a picture of a well struck and toned Buffalo nickel but the thread was intended as a discussion for coins which have been well marketed over the years for no reason other than they have a name.

There are many6 coins out there which have die polishing (abrading) anomalies but only a few have ever really hung in there to command really high premiums despite their ready availability.
